What's up? How was your week? Did you accomplish anything in life? Because I sure didn't! During my second week of playing the guitar, nothing really got better. I feel like the reasoning for this is because I would just go home and pick up my guitar to listen to myself play the chords, I did not play them with a purpose. Each week I need to start setting goals it seems so then I have something I can strive for and really see my progress. Next week I am going to try and make it so then I can switch chords faster and do not take to long to switch and it remotely sounds like a song. Anyways I hope your week wasn't as pathetic as mine, have a great day!

  1. I totally feel you. Learning an instrument is super hard and takes a lot of time. Learning the violin is not going as smooth as I thought either. I think it is a good idea to set goals when learning an instrument so you aren't just playing the same things over and over again. I think you're doing really well though!

  2. I think all of us are struggling at least a little bit with our goals. I know the feeling of just not doing anything with purpose. I try to combat it by doing what I want to do (within the subject area) like only doing my favorite yoga poses or playing my favorite song on the piano. I might not make progress in a given day, but it helps me to at least keep going through with it. Sometimes when I start with my favorites, I can actually do the more challenging parts afterwords.

I think your playing is coming along well. I know you can reach your goals.
