Hello! During my first week of learning how to play guitar, I basically just focused on learning the chords. Have you ever heard the song "What It's Like" by Everlast? That's the song I am learning how to play and I am learning that even though it is only a few chords it's very challenging. The video shows the basics of the song I just need to figure out the timing and memorize how the chords are with my fingers so I don't have to take 20 seconds to switch chords. Either way I believe it was a pretty successful week.

It was awesome to see a video playing! I have never personally played the guitar, but I know how hard it is. I think if you post a video or two every week, then it will be super easy to judge your success throughout the whole process. Guitar is one of the hardest instruments to master, in my opinion, but it will be cool to see how far you come. A couple of questions I have are... Do you already have experience playing? What other songs are you looking to master? Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteI think the video of you playing was a great addition it really shows your progress and just how much better you'll get overtime. Have you played any other instrument because your way of trying to memorize the strings before the song is the same way my piano teacher taught me how to play the piano. Either way great job.
